The Razor Clam Series is a very loose interpretation of the Razor Clam (Ensis directus), also known at the bamboo clam or American jackknife clam. It is found in the Atlantic and along the coast of Maine.

Alison Evans was inspired not only by the shape and beauty of these creatures, but also by the livelihood they provide for oyster farmers and workers on the coast of Maine. Using a modernized shape of the shell, Alison broke free of the traditionally round plate and created what is now the Oyster Series.
The Platter, one of our most popular styles, is a versatile piece and a perfect gift for those who have it all. The Round Series is for those who seek more traditional dinnerware, but still desire the colors and patterns offered by our glazes. While some may compare the interior glazes to that of a shell, the colors are very versatile and lend themselves to various settings, from mountain cabins to urban chic.
When life gives you lemons… turn them into a bright cocktail! We enjoyed making both lemonade and Paper Planes this summer, so Shea & Alison decided to create a juicer just in time for citrus season. This barnacle inspired juicer was designed by Shea (the owner’s daughter) and brought to life by the Ae team. It works well for limes, lemons, oranges and grapefruit. The Tulip Vase looks like a clamshell standing on its hinge. Clamshells have eyes around the outer edge of the shell. This is where the openings are for the individual flowers to be placed. Gladiolas, tulips and many other flowers look beautiful when fanned out in this vase.
